PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tyler Technologies Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today that the state of Texas’ re:Search®TX legal research website, which is powered by Tyler, has added a variety of new capabilities. The re:SearchTX online database is a single source for civil, family, and probate case information across all of the state’s 254 counties. The new services, which are part of Tyler’s Premium and Pro offerings for re:SearchTX, include the ability to perform full-text searching across more than 7 million court documents for keywords, as well as the ability to set up email alerts to monitor cases, parties, and custom search criteria.
re:SearchTX allows attorneys, justice partners, and other constituents to easily and efficiently access important case records and documents from across all 254 Texas counties at any time and on any connected device. The first-of-its-kind search engine empowers attorneys to gather all the information they need using a single access point and reduces traffic at court clerks’ windows. The court case data contained in re:SearchTX is pulled from eFileTexas™ as well as from county systems across the state.
Several counties, including Dallas, Collin, and Burnet, have led the way in expanding capabilities even further by providing access to hearings and dispositions through integration with Odyssey® case management. Licensed attorneys have access to court documents dating back to 2016, and registered general users can access information filed from 2018 to present day. A robust set of search capabilities are available at no cost to the user, and advanced features included in re:SearchTX Premium and Pro are offered with flexible pricing and a free trial.
“Dallas County is committed to making our courts transparent and to making access to court information as simple as possible,” said Felicia Pitre, Dallas County district clerk. “re:Search is a powerful tool to empower the legal community and make them more efficient.”
re:SearchTX Premium and Pro allows users to:
- View electronic case records, including parties, attorneys, and filed documents
- Search through the text of millions of documents, not just the summaries
- Study opposing counsel and the parties involved in cases of interest
- Set up alerts on current or new cases as well as parties, judges, and attorneys
- Set up custom search alerts to be notified whenever new cases or filings match the criteria
