OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dean Capital Management, LLC (DCM) announces the hiring of Jason Solomon as an investment analyst.
Mr. Solomon joins DCM from Stephens Inc. where he was a generalist analyst in the Investment Banking Division in Dallas, Texas. He also completed internships at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch in New York, NY and Vulcan Value Partners in Birmingham, Alabama, where he worked as a summer investment banking analyst and summer equity research analyst, respectively.
Mr. Solomon received his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from the Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama where he graduated magna cum laude. While attending the University of Alabama, Mr. Solomon held several positions including president of the Culverhouse Investment Management Group, a student led group actively managing a portion of the University’s endowment through an equity-only, value-based portfolio backed by Vulcan Value Partners.
According to Steve Roth, founding member and portfolio manager, “Jason brings to DCM an investment knowledge base that is well beyond his years of experience. We believe he will be able to quickly add value to the DCM research process.” Mr. Solomon will be an investment analyst for Dean Capital Management and will serve as a generalist providing research support to all of the DCM value equity strategies.
