Suffolk Hires Dennis Berger as Chief Culture Officer

Visionary contractor hires human resources and people management expert to create best-in-class employee experience and position organization for transformational change and growth

BOSTON--()--Suffolk, one of the most innovative and successful builders in the country, has hired Dennis Berger as its Chief Culture Officer. Mr. Berger will oversee Suffolk’s People & Culture team and will be responsible for creating a best-in-class employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle.

Mr. Berger has more than 30 years of experience across all facets of human resources and people management, including the last 14 years as Chief Human Resources Officer. He has a wealth of experience improving and aligning operational efficiencies with company cultures and employee engagement initiatives, and he has been instrumental in driving human resource transformations and successfully scaling innovative human resource initiatives in private and public global organizations.

Prior to joining Suffolk, Mr. Berger was a key partner in CDW Corporation’s transformational growth. Most recently, he was responsible for fostering and leveraging the organization’s high-performing coworker-centric culture, which was widely viewed as the driving force behind its financial success. In addition, Mr. Berger spent more than 12 years in the Pepsi system, most recently as head of U.S. Human Resources at PepsiAmericas, Inc., where he maximized human capital and successfully implemented cultural change and engagement initiatives that resulted in more clarity and focus for U.S. operations.

Mr. Berger will serve on the Executive Committee and report directly to Suffolk Chairman and CEO John Fish. Mr. Berger will work primarily from Suffolk Headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts but will have a significant presence in all the regions in which Suffolk operates.
