OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Orion Advisor Services, LLC ("Orion"), the premier portfolio management solution provider for registered investment advisors, today announced enhancements to existing integrations with web-based CRM provider Redtail Technology, Inc. (“Redtail”) and custodial partner Schwab Advisor Services, in addition to a new integration with health and wealth planning software Genivity.
“Orion’s robust integration network empowers advisory firms to build customized tech stacks aligned to their unique visions,” said Jeff Kliewer, Director of Integration Partnerships & Support at Orion. “The most recent enhancements with Redtail, Schwab, and Genivity run the gamut from increasing back-office efficiencies to enhancing the client experience.”
Orion and Redtail Sync Up with an Automated Two-Way Data Sync
The new automated two-way data sync—debuted during a joint FUSE session at Orion’s Ascent On the Road event in March—helps advisors streamline the data management of contact records. Specifically, when an advisor updates a contact record in either Redtail or Orion, the change automatically pushes to the other system, eliminating potential data discrepancies. Previously, data synced from Orion to Redtail, so this new enhancement simply pushes the data back from Redtail to Orion as well, giving advisors more time to focus on other initiatives.
The integration is currently in closed beta testing and set to be widely released to advisors by early July. To learn more about this integration, register for a webinar on June 26 at 11 a.m. CT.
Schwab Digital Account Opening Solution Now Available
Orion’s latest account opening integration features the new digital account open workflow developed by Schwab Advisor Services. This deep integration streamlines the new account opening process across Orion’s platform. In just a few steps, advisors can push data from Orion’s New Account Center to populate the account open request using the completely digital workflow Schwab has created, eliminating paperwork and potential for errors, while saving time for advisors and their clients.
Schwab’s Digital Account Open tool was previewed during the Ascent/FUSE 2018’s “Tech’s Got Talent” marathon coding competition in Miami Beach, FL last fall. Following the preview, the integration entered beta testing, which resulted in further refinement driven by client feedback. The integration is now available to all Orion advisors.

Orion Integrates with HALO (Health Analysis and Longevity Optimizer) by Genivity
Projecting future health expenses—and how to budget properly for them—can be unfamiliar territory for advisors and clients. Through an integration with Genivity, advisors can facilitate proactive conversations to plan for longevity, and the costs associated with health and elder care.
The widely available integration consists of a single sign-on from Orion into Genivity, in addition to the embedding of Genivity’s Halo Cost Care Planner assessment within Orion’s Client Portal. It takes less than 5 minutes for a client to complete the interactive assessment within the Client Portal and the detailed planning analysis is sent directly to the advisor so they can follow up and engage the client in a more holistic financial and retirement planning conversation.
