New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy to be Presented 2019 BIO Governor of the Year Award

PHILADELPHIA--()--The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) will present New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy with its 2019 Governor of the Year award today in recognition of his leadership and commitment to strengthening the bioscience industry. Governor Murphy will receive the award in conjunction with the 2019 BIO International Convention.

“Biotech innovation is not just key to New Jersey’s thriving economy and creating more jobs, but it unlocks the door to important life-saving, and enhancing advances that ultimately benefit us all,” said Governor Murphy. “Thanks to our investments in skills training and economic development initiatives, our state’s world-class biotechnology industry is only getting stronger. I am proud of New Jersey’s biotech industry and the value it brings and am deeply honored to receive this award.”
