JARVIS HOLLINGSWORTH JOINS KAYNE AS GENERAL COUNSEL
Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P. (“Kayne”) announced today that Jarvis V. Hollingsworth has joined the firm as General Counsel. He will also serve on the Kayne Executive Committee. Mr. Hollingsworth brings over 25 years of experience as an attorney, having previously been a partner at Bracewell LLP where he served as a member of the firm’s Management Committee. His practice at Bracewell focused on corporate governance, fiduciary duties and director liability, advising boards of Directors/Trustees of public and private companies and government and education institutions. Mr. Hollingsworth plans to allocate his time between Kayne’s Los Angeles and Houston offices and will report directly to Mike Levitt, Kayne’s CEO.
In joining Kayne, Mr. Hollingsworth will succeed David Shladovsky, who will remain at Kayne until his eventual retirement from the firm.

Mr. Hollingsworth served as a director of the State Bar of Texas. He is a former Captain in the U.S. Army, having served on Active and Reserve duty. He received a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston.
