Music Documentary Laurel Canyon from Jigsaw Productions, The Kennedy/Marshall Company, Amblin Television, Warner Music Group and Kew Media Distribution

TORONTO--()--Leading global distributor Kew Media Distribution (KMD), part of KEW MEDIA GROUP INC. (“KEW MEDIA,” “KEW” or the “Company”) (TSX:KEW and KEW.WT), today announced it will be distributing the upcoming documentary Laurel Canyon from director Alison Ellwood (History of the Eagles). KMD launched sales for the title at the MIPTV international television market and will be showcasing the film at the Cannes Film Festival thereafter.

Laurel Canyon will pull back the curtain on a mythical world and provide an up-close look at the lives of the musicians who inhabited it. Through a wealth of rare and newly unearthed footage and audio recordings, the documentary will feature an intimate portrait of the artists who created a music revolution. Celebrating the music of Linda Ronstadt, Joni Mitchell, The Doors, the Mamas and the Papas, The Byrds, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young, Eagles, Jackson Browne, Frank Zappa and more, the film takes us back to a time when a rustic canyon in the heart of Los Angeles became a musical petri dish.

Laurel Canyon is being executive produced by Frank Marshall, The Kennedy/Marshall Company; Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey, Amblin Television; Craig Kallman and Mark Pinkus, Warner Music Group; Alex Gibney, Stacey Offman and Richard Perello, Jigsaw Productions; and Jeff Pollack. The film is produced by Ryan Suffern, The Kennedy/Marshall Company, and Erin Edeiken, Jigsaw Productions. It will premiere in late 2019 on EPIX in the US.
