Research has shown that between 1.4 billion and 1.6 billion platelets per ML of blood is the optimal concentration level needed for development of new blood vessels (angiogenesis). On treatment day, a patient’s blood is first tested to determine their baseline platelet count. This screening helps the Medi Tresse team to customize the final platelet solution to ensure the optimal platelet concentration necessary to stimulate hair restoration for that specific individual. The patient’s blood is then drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate platelets from the plasma.
