MAUMEE, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA), an accredited, full-time online public school, has received the Ohio Auditor of State Award.
The Auditor’s Office in Ohio presents the award to school districts upon completion of the annual financial audit via the state’s Hinkle System of financial data reporting.
Schools who receive the award are those who achieve excellence in financial reporting, transparency, and compliance with applicable fiscal laws.
Per the Ohio state auditor website, the Hinkle System increases uniformity in financial reporting, generates the statutory reports for the governor and general assembly pursuant to state financial laws and regulations, and provides users with improved access, transparency, and functionality.
“It is such an honor to receive this award, and we will do our best to keep providing this required information in a way that is transparent for regulators, and Ohio families,” said Dr. Kris Stewart, OHVA Head of School. “I want to thank my financial teams, and the state Auditor’s Office, for all their help with this annual process.”
OHVA is now accepting enrollments for the 2019-2020 school year. Families are encouraged to attend an online or in-person information session hosted by the school. More information on OHVA, how to enroll, and a schedule of upcoming events can be found at ohva.k12.com.
