IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Parker Aerospace, a business segment of Parker Hannifin Corporation (NYSE: PH), the global leader in motion and control technologies, today announced the appointment of Eric Liu and Haijun Jiang to the company’s Asia Pacific region for Customer Support Operations (CSO). Both men will assume critical roles on CSO business development teams: Liu will serve as business development director focusing on generating commercial aftermarket business opportunities for all areas of the region except China; Jiang assumes the role of business development senior manager responsible for generating commercial aftermarket business opportunities in China. Both Liu and Jiang will report to Vic Jorcyk, vice president, commercial aftermarket.
“I am very pleased to welcome these veterans of the industry to Parker Aerospace Customer Support Operations in Asia Pacific,” said Jorcyk. “Both are consummate professionals whose integrity and knowledge of the business and the region’s customers will help to speed and enhance our aftermarket support as well as our customized service solutions for the area’s airlines.” Jorcyk went on to comment, “MRO in Asia Pacific is competitive; the customer relationships these men have fostered will help us deliver and grow the local support customers demand in the region.”
Eric Liu, business development director, Asia Pacific
Based in the company’s ACE Services Singapore facility, Eric Liu is returning to CSO after time spent as a product support director and quality manager for the Fluid Systems Division of Parker Aerospace. He has worked in many roles across Parker Aerospace, including customer support in Asia Pacific.
Formerly a key account manager on the CSO Asia Pacific team, Liu returns to lead the team, using his strong engineering background and extensive knowledge of the entire Parker Aerospace product line to both grow business and support key customers throughout the region. Familiarity with the region’s customers and operations will allow Liu to jump-start his contributions, renewing prior customer relationships while developing others. In addition to growing business across multiple areas, he will be responsible for the financial performance, strategic planning, and sales earnings forecasting for the team. Liu began his new role as of February 1, 2019.
Haijun Jiang, business development senior manager, China team
Haijun Jiang brings an in-depth understanding of China to his new business development position with Parker Aerospace CSO. His new role, effective in December of 2018, follows a distinguished, 12-year career with Honeywell, including time spent most recently as customer business director of China and operations director of China/Philippines. Jiang also worked in engineering and operations management at GAMECO.
As senior manager, Jiang will be responsible for directing and generating commercial aftermarket business opportunities across multiple divisions by formulating strategies for the long-term growth and development of new market segments. He also will be responsible for the financial performance, strategic planning, and sales earnings of his business segment. Jiang will work out of the Parker location in Shanghai and will additionally support the Parker FACRI joint venture located in Xi’an, China.
Jorcyk believes the ability of both Liu and Jiang to lead customer interactions at the most senior levels is a reflection of Parker CSO’s commitment to provide global support with a local focus. “By performing the work and providing services with in-region team members at our Asia Pacific facilities, Parker CSO can provide fast response and the same high quality repair we offer at our North American facilities.”
About Parker CSO’s two joint ventures in Asia Pacific. In 2005 Parker Aerospace partnered with SIA Engineering Company to form a hydraulics repair facility in Singapore. Known as ACE Services, the joint venture facility specializes in the repair of aircraft hydromechanical products, including both Parker and non-Parker equipment. It is the first independent hydraulic repair service center in the region capable of providing hydraulic testing services up to 5,000 psi for such technologically advanced aircraft as the Airbus A350 XWB and A380, and the Boeing 787.
To fully harness the potential of the rapidly growing Asian aerospace market, Parker Aerospace established a second joint venture with AVIC Flight Automatic Control Research Institute (FACRI) in 2017. Located in Xi’an, China, Parker FACRI is an original equipment aerospace manufacturer with world-class maintenance, repair, and overhaul capabilities serving aircraft in China, including those from Airbus, Boeing, and COMAC.
