CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Terrasana Cannabis Company will open three medical marijuana dispensaries across Ohio this week, making it the largest dispensary operator in the state. Two of its stores, Columbus and Cleveland, will be the first to open in their regions. The Columbus store opened today, Cleveland will open March 28, and the Fremont store on April 2.
"Terrasana is an Ohio-based company, and we are proud to provide our communities, neighbors, families and friends with access to carefully curated cannabis,” said William Kedia, M.D., Terrasana Founder, Chief Medical Officer and Head of Research. “We’re not some big, outside conglomerate looking to take advantage of new opportunities in Ohio. We’re Ohio residents. We understand our patients and the challenges they’re facing, and we are excited to open our doors to serve Ohio’s medical community the way it deserves."
Terrasana brings a unique medical perspective to the market with health professionals from world-renowned institutions and industry veterans serving as strategic consultants and advisory board members for the company. Senior leadership also includes executives and owners from the legal, medical, operational, finance and real estate industries, giving Terrasana the expertise needed to navigate the highly regulated market of medical marijuana.
Terrasana’s partners have also helped the company address a pain point in the medical marijuana industry – cash-only payment options. When completing their transactions at Terrasana dispensaries, patients will have the option to pay through the mobile app Hypur, allowing additional flexibility and a sense of normalcy in our digitally focused world.
In addition to providing its patients with high-quality product, Terrasana is focused on customer education. Terrasana’s staff understands that purchasing medical marijuana for the first time can be an intimidating experience, which is why the company is committed to helping new and existing patients understand the cannabis climate. Professional and highly trained patient consultants take time to meet with each patient individually and are well educated in the medical conditions they are treating, as well as the products they are providing.
By introducing medical marijuana into the market, Terrasana is also hoping to help address Ohio’s opioid crisis – an issue close to the founders’ and residents’ hearts. Ohio has the second highest rate of opioid-related deaths, based on data from the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics. Terrasana’s founders have seen the devastation the crisis has caused and are actively working with researchers to further validate cannabis as a substitute to opiates.
