SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Edgeworx Inc. today announced that Farah Papaioannou, the company’s co-founder and president, was appointed to the Eclipse Foundation board of directors. Papaioannou will be presenting “Exploring the Trend Toward the Edge” at the Virtual IoT meetup hosted by the Eclipse Foundation on March 27 at 8 a.m. Pacific Time.
During the session, Papaioannou will explore the business drivers, technological changes and global trends that are making edge computing one of the mega trends of the next decade. She will discuss the challenges that make edge computing unique, contrast the relationship to the cloud, and close with real-world use cases from key industries, showing how edge computing generates immediate business opportunities and benefits.
