Bloomberg Now Offering Predata’s Alternative Data Set to Data License Clients

NEW YORK & BOCA RATON, Fla.--()--Predata, the predictive analytics company for anticipating geopolitical risk, today announced its alternative data set is live on Bloomberg’s “ready-to-use” data website, Bloomberg Enterprise Access Point. Thousands of Predata’s geopolitical risk signals are now available to Bloomberg clients via an online Linked Data Platform that provides normalized reference, pricing, regulatory and historical datasets.

Bloomberg Enterprise Access Point allows users to connect their proprietary systems directly to Bloomberg’s Linked Data Platform, through a RESTful Hypermedia API, and receive complete sets of data. With the Predata signals accessible via Bloomberg Enterprise Access Point, Bloomberg clients gain the most comprehensive predictive analytics for geopolitical risk and market moving events. This orthogonal data set helps subscribers discover, quantify and act upon the risk of potential future events before they take place.

"We are excited to make interesting datasets from alternative data providers like Predata available to Bloomberg clients,” said Matthew Rawlings, Chief Data Officer, Enterprise Data at Bloomberg. “By providing a singular access point for finding and receiving reliable data, Bloomberg is helping bring innovative data and ideas to the wider financial services industry.”

“Predata is thrilled to be one of the first alternative data providers available via Bloomberg Enterprise Access Point, supplying our geopolitical risk signals covering over 150 countries and thousands of transnational topics. Predata signals have been successfully deployed as inputs to various risk models and trading strategies and, working with Bloomberg is certainly bringing greater accessibility to our unique datasets,” said Hazem Dawani, CEO at Predata.

Predata also supplies Bloomberg Terminal subscribers with a subset of its data, a daily index of political volatility for 125 countries called the Predata Political Volatility Index (PVIX), which is available on the Bloomberg Terminal to all users.

Predata was named the winner of TABB Group’s 2018 SuperNova Award in New York, where the audience voted for the most exciting fintech startup helping to innovate business models within capital markets. The firm also won the TradeTech FX Dragons’ Den pitch competition in Barcelona where it was selected by an international audience as the firm offering significant added value for its future investment plans.
