GREENVILLE, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This spring, Clemson Eye, Upstate's leading provider of advanced eye care with highly trained surgeons and the latest technology, will unite with two prominent Greenville eye health practices — Montgomery & Riddle Eyecare and Donelson Eye Associates — under the Clemson Eye brand name. Combined, these practices form one of the most respected and advanced eye care systems in the nation, serving more than 100,000 patients and offering more than 10 specialties.
“This transition is a direct reflection of our shared mission to offer the most advanced, highest quality eye care to communities across South Carolina,” said Mary Lou Parisi, CEO of Clemson Eye and President of South Carolina at Eye Health America. “Our unwavering commitment to our patients is our first priority. Clemson Eye will bring together the best doctors, facilities and leading-edge technology to provide the best care and service to patients in South Carolina.”
By joining forces, the newly formed Clemson Eye will now be able to offer patients:
- Broader access to a variety of doctors, procedures and surgeries under one eye group
- More choices on locations and flexibility in scheduling for specialty services, optometry and general ophthalmology
- A more integrated experience – from scheduling, to office visits, to billing, regardless of location or doctor
Once the transition is complete, Clemson Eye will have nine total locations in the Uplands and Midlands region, including two offices in Greenville as well as offices in Anderson, Clemson, Clinton, Easley, Newberry, Saluda and Simpsonville. Select doctors will serve multiple locations, giving patients more access to advanced procedures and surgeries, as well as more choices in doctors and locations, all with one integrated experience.
Expected completion of the full brand rollout is set for late spring 2019. Patients will be informed of the brand and staffing location changes via digital and printed letters. Additionally, the new Clemson Eye family brand will roll out an updated look and feel, including an updated logo and website design.
Said Dr. H. Keith Riddle, “Although it may feel like a lot of change, this brand unification is an external shift in what we, as providers and individual practices, already shared internally. We continue our dedication to patient care. And we want to maintain the reputation and trust of those we serve.”
Eye Health America (EHA), a leader in eye care practice management, acquired Clemson Eye, Montgomery & Riddle Eyecare, and Donelson Eye Associates in separate transactions over the past 12 months. EHA will continue to serve as the parent company of the newly combined Clemson Eye brand.
