DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CurrencyFair customers in Australia and New Zealand are now able to exchange foreign currency using voice commands on Amazon Echo Alexa-enabled devices with the enhanced CurrencyFair skill for Alexa, a skill that performs transactions within a user account.
Using the CurrencyFair skill for Alexa, customers get a voice-activated version of top CurrencyFair features, including live and transparent quotes for currency exchange that include the transfer fee, account balance queries and the ability to make an exchange within a user account.
To use the skill, CurrencyFair customers must first enable the CurrencyFair Skill in the Alexa app. Customers set their unique, secure voice passcode when linking their CurrencyFair account to the skill. A prompt to repeat the voice passcode for balance retrieval and exchanging money is an additional security measure. When customers are ready to use the CurrencyFair Alexa skill with their accounts, they can ask Alexa,
- "How much is 5,000 Australian dollars in euro?" to get a live, transparent quote—including all transfer fees—from any of the 19 CurrencyFair-supported currencies
- "What is my New Zealand dollar balance?" to check a balance on a CurrencyFair account
- "Make an exchange" to begin making an exchange

The CurrencyFair Alexa skill, facilitating currency transaction by voice command, is currently available on Amazon.com.au in Australia and New Zealand as part of a CurrencyFair customer trial. A CurrencyFair skill for Alexa that allows users to check live exchanges rates available with CurrencyFair is live globally.
