Cambridge Associates Announces Global Executive Promotions

Noel O’Neill and Ashby Hatch will assume new roles on the firm’s leadership team

BOSTON--()--Global investment firm Cambridge Associates today announced the promotions of two long-standing leaders, Noel O’Neill to President and Head of Global Investing and Ashby Hatch to Head of Global Investment Research.

As Head of Global Investing, O’Neill will oversee the firm’s research and four client practices, which are Endowments & Foundations, Pensions, Private Clients, and the outsourced investment (OCIO) business CA Capital Management. O’Neill joined Cambridge Associates in 1995 and most recently served as Head of Global Investment Research, where his extensive experience managing portfolios and uncovering compelling investment ideas for his clients helped maximize the collaboration between research and investing teams.

Hatch, who joined the firm’s research team in 1993 and previously served as Head of Public Investments Research, has assumed O’Neill’s former responsibilities overseeing all private and public asset class research across the firm. She will lead Cambridge Associates’ global efforts to continue identifying and building relationships with the investment managers and partnering with investment teams to integrate the best ideas into clients’ customized portfolios. With Hatch’s promotion, female representation on Cambridge Associates’ global executive leadership team is at 50 percent. Assuming Hatch’s previous role, 12-year veteran Eric Thielscher has been promoted to Head of Public Investments Research.

“Noel and Ashby have demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to Cambridge Associates’ mission and values for decades,” said David Druley, Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Associates. “They have each had a large impact on our ability to deliver outperformance for our clients, remaining laser-focused on uncovering and accessing what we believe are the best investment opportunities around the world. I am thrilled to announce these promotions.”

Building deep global manager networks and conducting rigorous manager due diligence have been hallmarks of the firm’s investment philosophy and portfolio management decisions since Cambridge Associates’ founding 45 years ago. The unmatched depth and breadth of the firm’s networks and research continues to play a critical role as Cambridge Associates increasingly provides hands-on portfolio management and outsourced investment office (OCIO) services for endowments and foundations, pensions and private clients around the globe.
