Hopkins’ appointment further solidifies Deep Instinct’s emerging role as a global leader in Deep learning-powered cybersecurity platforms and technologies.
Hopkins has served in several high-level C-suite roles, including Chief Operations and Technology Officer at Citi. Prior to her retirement from Citi in December 2016, she was founder and CEO of Citi Ventures based in Silicon Valley and Citi’s first Chief Innovation Officer. In that role, she and her team focused on partnering with emerging companies in the cybersecurity and technology sectors for deployment in the financial services industry. These partnerships included direct equity investments by Citi Ventures and support to these companies enabling them to scale at a highly accelerated pace.
Prior to Citi, Hopkins served as Chief Financial Officer at both The Boeing Company and Lucent Technologies. She was also General Auditor at General Motors and followed as Vice President of Finance at GM Europe in Zurich.
Deborah Chase Hopkins is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Union Pacific, Marsh & McLennan, and Virtusa, and is an Advisory Board Member at M3 Biotechnology Inc., SalesHero and an Executive Fellow at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. She also serves as Treasurer at St. John’s Hospital Foundation and as a Trustee for Silicon Couloir both located in Jackson, WY.
