SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With more than 20 years in the market, JPI has grown into one of the most reputable multifamily developers in Southern California. Today, the company announced it will promote Michael Adkins to senior vice president and construction partner, strengthening its leadership team as it moves further into 2019.
In his new role, Adkins will oversee the operations of all area construction offices in the Western Region.
“Mike is a tremendous asset to our company, and we’re all excited to see him shift into this role,” said Rosie Cooper, executive vice president and regional managing partner in JPI’s Western Region office. “He has made outstanding strides with JPI over the past two years, and I know that with his work ethic, we are only going to continue to see great things.”
Adkins’ expertise in construction and development processes has grown through 19 years of progressive experience. Prior to his current role, Adkins served as vice president of construction at JPI, project manager at Emmerson Construction and field project manager at DEMCON Concrete Contractors. Adkins has also been a superintendent for a large multifamily home builder and owned a small business in the hauling industry.
Adkins’ career in construction has taken him all over the country and allowed him to manage several high-profile projects. These include the Alpha Square Project in downtown San Diego, Fox Theater in Riverside and Disneyland Back of House, to name a few. The projects have equipped him with expertise in heavy-commercial, high-density multifamily, concrete, and restaurant and hospitality construction.
“At JPI, we are proud to employ more than 200 of the most talented associates in the industry,” said Brad Taylor, chief development officer and national managing partner at JPI. “Over the next year, we hope to continue to grow our family in both the Central and Western Region – and Mike is a genuine example of the hardworking individuals we are looking for.”
