BOZEMAN, Mont.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Following a rigorous review process, Pulsara is now FirstNet Listed and available via the FirstNet App Catalog. This gives public safety a new way to confidently access Pulsara on their nationwide communications platform, further transforming the patient care journey from paramedic to hospital.
FirstNet – America’s public safety communications platform – features the first-ever App Catalog geared to first responders. This gives FirstNet subscribers a dedicated location to find meaningful new solutions that have been specifically reviewed for use on FirstNet. Before a mobile solution can be added to the FirstNet App Catalog, it must pass stringent performance tests for security, relevancy, data privacy and more.
Achieving a FirstNet Listed designation means Pulsara is a vetted and trusted solution for public safety, meeting FirstNet app requirements. Additionally, FirstNet subscribers will be able to experience the benefits of key FirstNet capabilities – like First Priority™, which enables priority and, for first responders, preemption – while using Pulsara. So, when paramedics send critical patient information to a charge nurse while in-bound to the hospital, the communications will be prioritized for delivery.
Additionally, FirstNet subscribers will be able to send important patient information from the field to hospital using Pulsara while benefitting from the enhanced security provided by the FirstNet network core, which is the only physically separate public safety core dedicated entirely to public safety in America.
“Communications must work during the worst of times. By working with FirstNet to get the Pulsara solution Listed in the App Catalog, we’re advancing public safety’s capabilities on the only network designed with the public safety mission in mind,” said James Woodson, Founder and CEO, Pulsara. “Bringing Pulsara to the FirstNet communications platform gives paramedics and clinicians a tool to reliably share critical information and create one, common operating picture that has the power to truly transform patient outcomes.”
Pulsara is a mobile-first platform that enables clinicians to exchange patient-specific information through alerts, messaging, audio clips or video chat during time-sensitive emergencies, no matter the location or type of illness or injury.
It was developed by clinicians across the care continuum to improve the coordination and communication tasks essential to rapid assessment and care of patients suffering any time-sensitive condition. Pulsara is the only solution that entire regions can use to build a communication network between prehospital, intra-facility and interfacility care teams.
“Only highly secure, high quality, public safety relevant applications are part of the FirstNet App Catalog. And we’re pleased that Pulsara is now Listed and available to FirstNet subscribers,” said Bob Sloan, chief operating officer, FirstNet at AT&T. “We’re focused on cross-industry collaboration for the betterment of public safety, bringing innovative tools like Pulsara to FirstNet subscribers and helping them enhance their communications capabilities through FirstNet.”
“Through our work with first responders, we heard their need for innovative applications to assist with their lifesaving mission. FirstNet is helping to address these needs, and we are pleased to welcome Pulsara to the FirstNet App Catalog,” said Mark Golaszewski, executive director of Technology and Innovation, First Responder Network Authority.
The solution will be on display at EMS Today in National Harbor, Md., Feb. 20-22. Visit the Pulsara booth, #1137, or the FirstNet booth, #1841.
