AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mood Media, the world’s leading in-store media solutions company dedicated to elevating the Customer Experience, today announced new executive appointments after President & CEO Steven K. Richards retired from the organization last month.
The Board of Directors has appointed David Hoodis as Chief Executive Officer, effective February 20th. Mr. Hoodis brings over three decades of leadership and operational experience from organizations across the retail landscape. Throughout his career, he has developed innovative business solutions for retailers that helped them drive topline growth. At the same time, he has leveraged existing talent and industry-leading expertise at organizations to maximize revenue generation, control costs and strengthen operating margins. Mr. Hoodis will focus his efforts at Mood in much the same way, by helping Mood clients with growth strategies by creating better Customer Experiences and increasing customer engagement and loyalty. He will also direct Mood globally in driving top and bottom-line success while creating a more efficient organization.
Mr. Hoodis spent the past three years at IRI as President, Retail. While there, he helped establish new strategies for growth, expanded solutions for IRI’s retail clients, helped broaden retailer partnerships and increased revenue. His background also includes roles as VP of Software Strategy and Innovation at NCR, CEO and Co-founder of Snack Box, President and Chief Operating Officer of Modell’s Sporting Goods, and VP of Innovation and Operations at Wal-Mart. He has also served on numerous Board of Advisors groups including Freshub, Systems Alliance and Natural Insight. Mr. Hoodis has an MBA from the University of Houston and a BA from the University of Texas.
The Board of Directors also announced today that Ken Eissing, current President of Mood’s In-Store Media Division, has now been appointed President of Mood Media, effective immediately.
