MOBILE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CPSI (NASDAQ: CPSI), announced today that patients of the Evident community hospitals and clinics can access their health records via Health Records on iPhone. The Health Records feature brings together hospitals, clinics and the existing Apple Health app to make it easy for individuals to see their available health data from multiple providers, whenever they choose. Health Records is available for iPhone users running iOS 11.3 or higher.
Having this type of accessibility allows patients to easily see, at any time, their hospital and clinic medical data organized into one comprehensive and easy to understand patient view through the existing Apple Health app. This includes allergies, conditions, immunizations, lab results, medications, procedures and vital signs. In addition, all health record data is encrypted and protected with the user’s iPhone passcode, Touch ID or Face ID. Several Evident Thrive client facilities have already registered to participate in Health Records on iPhone and their patients can now begin using this feature in the Apple Health app.
“Giving our patients access to this type of technology has many benefits to our patients and staff. We have found that our patients are much more informed of their current health and care status, which helps our clinical staff focus more time on proactive treatment and better care outcomes for their patients,” said Julie Jones, chief executive officer, Community Hospital in Fairfax, Missouri.
CPSI has been committed to community healthcare for 40 years and now serves more than 4,600 acute, ambulatory, and post-acute facilities nationwide through their family of companies. Health Records on iPhone will help reach the nearly 20% of the U.S. population that live in small and rural communities to gain easy access to their health records.
“Our goal is to help our community healthcare providers deliver the kind of care that they want to deliver. Health Records on iPhone is one more way our clients can engage their community and empower their patients,” said Boyd Douglas, president and chief executive officer of CPSI.
