ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ShipWorks, the leading enterprise shipping software program for serious and successful e-commerce merchants and warehouses, has launched a series of robust product enhancements, including the launch of The Works, a single piece shipping workflow designed to simplify warehouse shipping, especially for warehouses shipping large volumes.
“Warehouse shipping continues to evolve in line with FBA and other new, innovative fulfillment options,” said Dominic Lozano, General Manager of ShipWorks. “We have been working closely with our customers to make sure ShipWorks keeps them competitive in this rapidly changing industry. We’ve enhanced our software for performance optimization that will result in processing labels faster, and we’re particularly excited about the launch of The Works.”
The Works
What is it? Designed specifically for the warehouse employee, The Works is a simplified user interface for processing labels for a single piece shipping workflow. Today, most warehouses have individual stations for FedEx, UPS, and USPS. Warehouse workers must prep the packages to get it to the correct station for the operator to weigh and print that carrier’s label. Now, with The Works, there is no need for multiple stations. All carriers exist in a single solution at a single station. A one-time scan tells the system what label to print, and in less than a second, the box is waiting for the carrier, saving an incredible amount of time.
“Warehouses finally have an automated and installed multi-carrier solution that allows a single scan to print the right label at the right time,” said Lozano. “All employees can be trained on a single application instead of three different applications, which will allow warehouses to scale as needed rather than imposing artificial bottlenecks due to resource contention.”
The Works is an efficient way to combine all decision-making attributes onto one screen that manipulates the fields as required, allowing warehouse workers to avoid unnecessary mouse and keyboard activity.
Product Catalog
What is it? Allows customers to import and manage their entire list of SKUs they are shipping with ShipWorks. This import can include all necessary information for each SKU, such as, weights, dimensions, location in warehouse, etc. This is very beneficial for international shipments because it allows customers to automatically populate customs info. Now, customers no longer have to key in all of the data, which will improve efficiency and accuracy.
Importing Custom Fields & Added Support for New Fields
What is it? This enhancement allows customers to include more order-level item data in ShipWorks so they can create rules and workflows around an item to streamline the shipping process. The largest benefit of this advancement is allowing customers to enhance their reporting capabilities. Customers can start generating reports on new custom fields to get data around what’s important to their business.
