ESSENCE Spotlights Art + Activism at Oscar-Week Celebration: 2019 Black Women in Hollywood Awards Honoring Amandla Stenberg, Kiki Layne, Jenifer Lewis and Regina Hall

NEW YORK--()--ESSENCE, the number one media, technology and commerce company serving Black women, today revealed the four extraordinary honorees for its annual Black Women in Hollywood Awards, celebrating the global influence of Hollywood’s leading female artist-activists—both in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes. The highly-anticipated Oscar-week luncheon will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, CA.

This year’s brilliant Black Women in Hollywood honorees include actress Amandla Stenberg (“The Hate U Give”), actress/singer and author Jenifer Lewis (“Black-ish”), actress Kiki Layne (“If Beale Street Could Talk”) and actress Regina Hall (“Support The Girls”).

ESSENCE’s Film Noir-themed content throughout Awards season will feature each Black Women in Hollywood honoree, including digital profiles and the debut of four customized magazine covers.
