LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Diversity. Kindness. Otherness. Respect. Listen. Advancing Diversity. As one entered the AdvancingDiversity.org event at ARIA in Las Vegas during Consumer Electronics Show (CES) on January 9th, those words set the stage and greeted an impressive gathering of present and future thought leaders from the media, marketing, technology, and entertainment worlds.
The evening began with eight game-changing executives mingling in a reception filled with inspirational messaging from the partners who made MediaVillage’s Advancing Diversity Hall of Honors and Inclusive Talent Job Fair, possible.
Advancing Diversity Honors partners included Active International, AMC Networks, Ascential, BSSP, Budweiser, Comcast FreeWheel, Crown Media Family Networks, Dentsu Aegis Network, Facebook, Google, Greenspun Media Group, Hulu, Interpublic Group, MediaVillage, NCC Media, Nielsen, Publicis Media, Sinclair Broadcast Group, SJR, Sundance Institute, Teads.tv, Turner, Twitter, Univision, VaynerMedia, Verizon, Viacom, The Walt Disney Company and Xandr.
The eight Advancing Diversity Honors inductees in attendance were:

Nearly 400 influential attendees including surprise guest Katie Couric honored the recipients in an innovative twist to the traditional awards show format. The program was a collaboration with Sundance Institute Theater Program, which curated Creative Tensions, an experiential approach to group dialogue, where the inductees explored topics important to them through movement and interaction with the audience.
“When first experiencing Creative Tensions at the Aspen Ideas Festival, I knew we had to find a way to bring this breakthrough concept to our community for the Advancing Diversity Hall of Honors,” said Jack Myers, founder of MediaVillage and AdvancingDiversity.org. “The energy in the room was magical as we celebrated these trailblazers in media and marketing in such an innovative and thought-provoking way."
The immersive experience was integrated with MediaVillage’s Inclusive Talent Job Fair, that offered jobs for those studying or working in the fields of STEM, media, marketing, advertising, communications, design, journalism, tech and entertainment. Recruiters from some of the world’s biggest agencies, tech companies and media brands hired many of the more than 100 applicants on the spot. Interested applicants can still register their resumes at www.CES19.com.
