Comedian Deon Cole to Perform at SugarHouse Casino

Black-ish star brings stand-up act to The Event Center in February

PHILADELPHIA--()--Successful actor and comedian Deon Cole, best known for his scene-stealing role as Charlie on ABC’s Golden Globe Award-winning “Black-ish,” brings his stand-up comedy to The Event Center at SugarHouse Casino on Friday, Feb. 22, at 8 p.m. Tickets for his show go on sale Friday, Dec. 21, at 10 a.m. and cost from $39 to $59.

Not only is Cole currently a cast member on four hit television shows, he has also appeared in several popular feature films, released multiple stand-up specials and performs a nonstop tour schedule. Cole’s “Black-ish” character, Charlie Telphy, appears as a regular on Freeform’s “Grown-ish.” If you’re a fan of the TBS comedy crime series “Angie Tribeca,” you will recognize Cole as the pun-cracking Detective Daniel “DJ” Tanner. Additionally, Cole hosts BET’s game show “Face Value.”

Cole is a comedic veteran who gained recognition as a staff writer for Conan O’Brien, where he earned two Emmy nominations and three Writers Guild Awards. On the big screen, Cole appeared in all three movies in the popular “Barbershop” franchise and appeared alongside Sofía Vergara, Alysia Reiner and Chris D’Elia in the feature “The Female Brain” directed by Whitney Cummings.

In addition to live performances and concerts, The Event Center at SugarHouse Casino can be reserved for a variety of occasions, including weddings, corporate receptions, seminars, trade shows and more.
