SANTA ROSA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers, and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, today announced that Ixia, a Keysight Business, has achieved Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 validation for its Vision portfolio of network packet brokers (NPBs). This ensures that all cryptographic keys and algorithms conform to strict National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (CCCS) guidelines.
The Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) is a joint effort between NIST in the United States and CCCS, a branch of the Communications Security Establishment (CSE). The CMVP validates cryptographic modules to Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2, Security Requirements for Cryptographic Modules, and other FIPS cryptography-based standards. Federal Agencies in the United States and Canada may acquire active FIPS 140-2 cryptographic modules listed in the CMVP database of validated modules for the protection of sensitive information.
“Ixia is committed to helping federal agencies and other organizations that require FIPS 140-2 validated cryptography protect their networks and data,” said Recep Ozdag, vice president, product management for Keysight’s Ixia Solutions Group. “Our investments in these certifications assures government agencies, military, and other security-conscious organizations that our visibility solutions meet the highest standards of security integrity.”
All of Ixia's Network Packet Brokers are now FIPS 140-2 validated in addition to earlier certifications for Vision ONE and Vision 7300 for Common Criteria and DoD Unified Capabilities Approved Product List (UC APL). The following FIPS 140-2 certificates were issued by the CMVP:
- FIPS 140-2 Cert. #3311 – Ixia Cryptographic Module for Network Visibility
- FIPS 140-2 Cert. #3313 – Ixia Cryptographic Module for OpenSSL
The certificates are valid on all Ixia Vision NPBs including Vision ONE, Vision 7300, Vision Edge 10S, Vision Edge 100, Vision Edge 40 and TradeVision, Ixia’s market data monitoring platform, as well as the Vision Edge OS. The certificates will also be valid on future Vision NPBs.
Ixia’s NPBs allow businesses to see inside their networks and data centers. Ixia’s NPBs deliver intelligent, sophisticated and programmable network flow optimization providing visibility and security coverage to business assets. This helps IT teams quickly resolve performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot problems, improve data center automation, optimize expensive network analysis and security tools and enhance business execution.
