Analyzing Gas to Liquids (GTL) Market 2018-2024 - ResearchAndMarkets.com

DUBLIN--()--The "Analyzing Gas to Liquids Market 2018" report has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com's offering.

It is expected that the market for gas to liquids (GTL) is going to witness a major boost as two large-scale GTL projects get completed by 2021 and 2024.

As Sasol's coal to liquids plant in South Africa gets converted to a GTL plant by the end of 2024, and a delayed GTL facility in Uzbekistan will also finally come online by 2021, the industry will witness a huge jump in production. After this, there are no large-scale GTL facilities expected to be expanded or even built till 2040. This makes these two large GTL plants extremely important.

It is estimated that the global production from GTL plants as of 2017 stands at an average 230,000 barrels per day, or roughly 0.2 percent of the global liquids production. The majority of this production, about 90 percent, is derived from these four facilities - one in South Africa, one in Nigeria, and two in Qatar.
