The annual Global Power 150 - Women in Staffing List recognizes the 100 most influential women in the Americas, and 50 additional women internationally. Susan E. Ball, JD, MBA and RN, Cross Country Healthcare’s Executive VP, General Counsel and Secretary, and Marisa Zaharoff, MSN, RN, President of Cross Country Healthcare’s Per Diem Staffing Division, were both featured on the publication’s 2018 list.
Susan Ball is the primary legal advisor to Cross Country Healthcare’s CEO and board of directors, overseeing corporate governance, securities matters, risk management, workers’ compensation, insurance, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and leadership on certain operational matters. Prior to practicing law, she was a registered nurse, which gives her unique insight into the legal matters facing a healthcare staffing company. Cross Country Healthcare is the third-largest healthcare staffing firm in the US.
Marisa Zaharoff has managed Cross Country Healthcare’s per diem branch network since 2014 and was named President of Cross Country Healthcare’s Per Diem Staffing Division in January of 2018. Under her leadership, the company’s per diem division, Medical Staffing Network, has leaped to the top spot on SIA’s list of largest per diem nursing firms in the US with seven percent market share. She also has a background in nursing prior to her healthcare staffing experience.
