CMMI® Institute Opens 2019 Capability Challenge Competition Celebrates 2018 Winner GlobalLogic

PITTSBURGH--()--GlobalLogic, a leader in digital product engineering services, has won the CMMI® Institute Capability Challenge. Their software development and maintenance operation has achieved a CMMI Maturity Level 5 rating while demonstrating performance improvement across their organization. This includes increasing their product review efficiency by more than tripling their results from 15 to 55 percent.

The announcement comes as the CMMI Institute invites organizations driving improved business performance and results by building organizational capability to submit their entries to compete in the 2019 CMMI® Institute Capability Challenge.

Global business leaders dedicated to performance improvement must complete their 2019 Capability Challenge submissions on the CMMI Institute website by 26 November 2018. Following that deadline, semi-finalists will be selected to share their stories via recorded webinars posted to the CMMI Institute site, for open, public voting. Finalists will compete for the Capability Challenge Champion title at CMMI Institute’s Capability Counts Conference, 30 April-1 May 2019, in Reston, VA, an annual event featuring keynote speakers, panel discussions and case study presentations.

The 2018 Capability Challenge winner, Ashwani Nandini, VP Delivery at GlobalLogic, demonstrated improved performance, quality, and profitability improvements through work leading operations and delivery at GlobalLogic’s location in Noida, India.

“We are delighted to showcase the achievements of Aswhani and the GlobalLogic team in elevating performance through innovation and discipline. All CMMI Institute Capability Challenge finalists are distinguished in their industries, regions, and globally because they show how organizations create and sustain an environment of high-performance,” said Kirk Botula, CEO of CMMI Institute. “We look forward to another round of highly qualified 2019 Capability Challenge entries.”

“The Capability Challenge inspires organizations to create novel ideas that demonstrate innovative uses and best stories for improving business performance by building capability,” said Nandini. “Being chosen as the winner of this international challenge is a great feeling, as it acknowledges our organizational journey to be credible and exceptional.”

In her role, Nandini coaches project and program managers to deliver products accurately and on time with well-defined success parameters at GlobalLogic’s largest engineering delivery center in India, which employs more than 1,600. She spearheads GlobalLogic’s CMMI initiatives in the Noida Center. The Software Development and Maintenance department has achieved a CMMI Maturity Level 5 rating.

Nandini’s story on Predictable Measurement Framework (PMF) for Agile achieved the top spot at the Capability Challenge Finals at this year’s Capability Counts conference. CMMI Institute has posted the GlobalLogic video case study highlighting Nandini and the organization’s business success.

“I encourage anyone who has a great performance improvement story using CMMI to compete in the 2019 Capability Challenge,” said Michael West, Business Performance Strategist at Natural SPI and past Capability Challenge moderator. “I was thrilled and honored to serve as moderator for the 2018 Capability Challenge. This competition is by far the best venue for demonstrating how CMMI adoption improves organizational performance and capability.”
