NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Thomas, the leader in product sourcing, supplier selection and marketing solutions for industry announced President & CEO Tony Uphoff will deliver a keynote address at the Business Information & Media Summit (BIMS 2018), a three-day gathering of more than 350 business information industry leaders on November 12-14 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
In his address, Uphoff will recount his company’s journey from being a legacy print publisher (The Thomas Register of American Manufacturers) to a ‘data and platform company’ for industry. He will walk listeners through Thomas’ step-by-step process for leveraging data to generate revenue, and creating a modern operating dashboard that redefines what a business information company can do.
“This is not just another transformation story, Thomas has made a radical leap from directory publisher to a company that runs like a software business focused on user experience,” said Uphoff. “The key to our evolution is a series of real-time data streams generated by the activity of in-market buyers, giving Thomas a powerful internal operating dashboard that enables us to be agile, insightful and effective in serving our users – which ultimately serves our advertisers.”
Uphoff will deliver his keynote address at the summit on Wednesday, November 14.
Thomas Chief Technology Officer Hans Wald will also be speaking at the summit, as a panelist in “Next Gen UX: Trends That Will Redefine Your Products” on Monday, November 12.
