Acquia, BigCommerce Partner to Accelerate Content for Commerce Initiatives

Partnership Focused on Helping Fast-growing Brands Deliver Better Customer Experiences

BOSTON--()--Acquia and BigCommerce today announced a partnership to help merchants develop and launch online ecommerce solutions with powerful, on-brand customer experiences. This partnership will enable fast-growing brands to take advantage of industry-leading ecommerce solutions with world-class open source content management.

Today’s retailers naturally struggle to deliver on all of their omni-channel initiatives. No one shops on a single medium, and research shows that convenience and price are the biggest reasons why consumers shop online. Brands need to work hard to earn the loyalty of repeat customers. That means investing in content-rich, fully personalized experiences that work across every channel, helping provide consumers with a great experience at every touchpoint.

Acquia and BigCommerce are collaborating to make it easier for brands to take advantage of cloud-based commerce and content solutions. Through a series of go-to-market initiatives, merchants can now tap into the leading open source content management system Drupal and BigCommerce’s leading ecommerce platform for catalog, order, and customer data.

“Brands are under intense pressure to establish trust and foster a loyal customer base, or else risk being disrupted by dominant global retailers and low-cost competitors. That is why it’s so important to elevate your brand story at every opportunity and affirm your value in every interaction,” said Michael Sullivan, Acquia CEO. “We’re working with BigCommerce to help fast-track the development of content for commerce initiatives for ambitious, mid-market brands. Our combined approach provides enormous opportunities to build brand storefronts and connect with consumers across every channel.”

Brands that rely on the Acquia Experience Platform along with Drupal for content management will discover opportunities to create more powerful, branded content for commerce with BigCommerce. Working with BigCommerce and Acquia, brands can very quickly set up an online store that is part of their digital experience.

“Working with Acquia, BigCommerce is expanding what’s possible for merchants and retailers that are looking to provide a unique site experience by empowering them to make content for commerce a strategic part of their marketing and retail strategies,” said Brent Bellm, BigCommerce CEO. “BigCommerce’s ecommerce platform offers a best-in-class commerce solution paired with the Acquia Experience Platform, enabling merchants to launch the world’s most engaging, content-rich commerce sites.”

BigCommerce and BORN will co-present Commerce Meets Customer Experience: How Brands Are Keeping Up With Consumer Demands at Acquia Engage, Acquia’s annual North American user conference, on Thursday, Nov. 8. To register visit engage.acquia.com.
