OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pacific Workers’ Compensation Law Center’s (Pacific Workers’) foundation today announced the expansion of its robust community giving program to include the Bay Area Youth EMT Program. This charitable donation aligns with the foundations’ other giving campaigns helping firefighters, first responders, and vulnerable members of their community.
This year-end charitable donation will fund Bay EMT’s programs helping youth and young adults from underserved communities receive training in emergency medical and fire curriculum and earn their Paramedic and EMT certifications. This program increases employment for at-risk youth and helps improve diversity in local fire departments.
In an effort to serve their community, Pacific Workers’ Community Foundation supports organizations that provide meals to injured, homeless or struggling people, sponsors events that benefit firefighters and police officers, educates workers on their rights, and provides college scholarships to clients and first responders.
