BEIJING--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This week, VIPKid, a global education technology company, announced a strategic partnership with SSAT China to become the exclusive online learning institution for the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) in China. The SSAT, developed by the EMA (Enrollment Management Association), is the leading admission test for admission to private K-12 schools. VIPKid joins SSAT’s member school network, an extensive network of over 1,200 of the most prestigious private schools across the world. Through the partnership, VIPKid and SSAT China will create a new standard for international K-12 education and work together to help students achieve their academic goals.
Speaking at a press conference on October 22 in Beijing, Cindy Mi, Founder and CEO of VIPKid, spoke about VIPKid’s desire to become not only the leading online education platform for children, but also the premier destination for students to build 21st century skills. “It’s a tremendous honor to be the exclusive online partner of the SSAT China and I’m excited to work together to provide a path for our students to become global citizens,” Mi said.
VIPKid has also made it easier for its students and parents in China to sign up and take the SSAT by creating a one-stop registration and application experience on the official VIPKid website. SSAT China will also help VIPKid improve its assessment system to more closely match international standards.

In the future, VIPKid will work closely together with SSAT China and EMA on a number of initiatives. VIPKid, EMA and SSAT China plan to develop comprehensive curricula for VIPKid students. In addition to testing academic ability, SSAT China will work with VIPKid to provide assessments on social and practical skills to complement the traditional cognitive assessment.
