WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FELA, the financial education and literacy company, today announced its rebrand to LifeCents. The name LifeCents is also the company’s health and wellness app that inspires and empowers people to improve their financial health and well-being. The app was created by FELA in 2011 to help people achieve financial security.
To date, LifeCents has raised $6 million in funding, including $3.8 million in Series B funding earlier this year. LifeCents clients and partners include Fortune 500 companies, financial service providers, government agencies, nonprofits and employers.
"This rebrand represents our ongoing commitment to help people understand and manage their financial wellness while working toward financial security,” said Blake Allison, Founder and CEO of LifeCents. "We started FELA in 2005 when financial wellness was a new concept. LifeCents comes from a deep-rooted belief that we can best reach people through technology, and this tech will be the fastest way to scale and, ultimately, help people reach their financial goals."
LifeCents’ key features include an AI-driven user experience, personalized guidance, psychographic measures of financial health, robust reporting, data and analytics, and curated connections to products and services based on a specific user's profile.
In addition to its funding, LifeCents’ growth over the last year has enabled the team to triple in size, including the recent addition of a Vice President of Business Development, Digital Marketing Manager and Product Marketing Manager. The team will move to Rosslyn, VA, at the beginning of next year to accommodate its continued growth.
