(NYSE: CFG) today announced the pricing of an offering of 300,000 shares of its 6.375% fixed-to-floating rate non-cumulative perpetual Series C Preferred Stock, liquidation preference $1,000 per share (the “Preferred Stock”) at an aggregate offering price of $300 million.
CFG intends to use the net proceeds of the Preferred Stock offering for general corporate purposes. The Preferred Stock offering is expected to close on October 25, 2018, subject to customary closing conditions.
