FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--High net worth individuals from around the globe will converge on the yachting capital of the world from Wednesday, October 31 through Sunday, November 4 to shop for the latest and largest luxury super yachts by the industry’s most prominent ship builders. Recognized as the largest in-water boat show in the world, the 59th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) spans 3 million square feet of exhibition space at seven locations conveniently linked by land shuttles and water taxis.
Multi-million-dollar super yachts comprise an elite subset among the more than 1,200 boats of all sizes and prices on display. This year’s largest, a distinction often referred to as the “Queen of the Show,” is the 244-foot Elandess by German yacht builder Abeking & Rasmussen. Featuring a 26-foot, transparent swimming pool, the yacht is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests in seven cabins with the capability of carrying up to 24 crew onboard.
With regular tickets affordably priced starting at $33 for single day general admission, the show also offers exclusive options for its upscale attendees, including the Windward VIP Club presented by Delta Private Jets, which is also the official private jet carrier for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. In partnership with Ulysse Nardin, the show’s official timekeeper, access to the Windward VIP Club is $300 per person per day and is the ideal oasis to enjoy the luxury of a premium open bar, gourmet food offerings, exclusive events and a sanctuary to enjoy the international boating spectacular in climate controlled comfort. Along with show entry and complimentary Water Taxi transportation, the Windward VIP Club also features custom-rolled cigars and a private, outdoor smoking lounge by Delta Private Jets, wine tastings by Wine Enthusiast, and watchmakers onsite daily from Ulysse Nardin.
While the show features watercraft of all sizes and prices and an eye-popping display of marine accessories, it is the extraordinary superyachts that capture the imagination of the thousands of attendees walking the docks. Here are the 10 largest yachts on display at this year’s show:
