CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aspen Dental Management, Inc., (ADMI), one of the largest dental support organizations (DSO) in the U.S., today announced the addition of Richard Parr, JD as Chief Legal Officer. In this role, Parr is responsible for leading the company’s legal, compliance, and risk management programs. He also serves as corporate secretary, reporting to Robert Fontana, ADMI’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Parr joins ADMI with nearly 30 years of experience serving as general counsel for healthcare companies including HCR Manor Care, Concentra Inc. and OrNda HealthCorp. Parr is a member of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals and has served as a member of its Board of Directors and of its Executive Steering Committee. He is also a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.
Parr began his legal career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable William J. Holloway, Jr., Chief Judge of the Tenth Circuit United States Court of Appeals. He was an Associate with the law firms of Gardner, Carton & Douglas and Johnson & Swanson. Parr received his Bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University where he graduated cum laude. He received his J.D. degree from the Cornell Law School, where he served as a Senior Editor of the Cornell Law Review.
