MANCHESTER, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With a shared goal of providing greater access to care, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in New Hampshire and Concord Hospital today announced the hospital and its specialist and professional provider group, Concord Hospital Medical Group, has joined Anthem’s Pathway Network of health care providers currently serving consumers in the Individual market. Concord Hospital and Concord Hospital Medical Group joined the network effective Oct. 1.

The Pathway Network now includes 24 out of 26 hospitals in all 10 New Hampshire counties, plus key hospitals in Massachusetts, Maine, and Vermont. The statewide network also includes approximately 95 percent of the state’s primary care providers and specialists, 87 percent of ambulatory surgical centers, and 98 percent of ancillary providers.
Anthem was the only carrier in New Hampshire to offer individual health plans on the state’s health insurance marketplace when it opened in 2014 and has continued to offer plans every year, providing consumers with access to care across the entire state. The Pathway Network, which continues to exceed all New Hampshire network adequacy requirements, allows Anthem to offer health benefit plans on the exchange that are priced approximately 30 percent lower than a plan off the exchange.
