Airport Lounge Development Announces the Opening of a New Dedicated Lounge at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport

The Club DFW features a new, more expansive space and a variety of enhanced offerings

DALLAS--()--Airport Lounge Development Inc. (ALD), the global provider of premium, shared-use lounges and four time winner of a Priority Pass Lounge of the Year award and recent recipient of the 2018 Travel Weekly Silver award, today announced the opening of its new shared-use lounge at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Terminal D, near Gate 25. One of 18 lounges operated by ALD, the Club DFW offers travelers a dedicated, larger space in which visitors can experience a variety of enhanced features.

We are delighted to continue to support DFW in its vision to transform the travel experience for customers traveling through the airport,” said Nancy Knipp, Senior Vice President of ALD. “The traveler demand for a shared-use lounge experience continues to grow. The dedicated Club DFW lounge will be a welcome addition for the increasing number of travelers who seek our shared-use lounge experience, and we look forward to working with DFW to further expand its lounge offering.”

This premium lounge is available to Priority Pass’ ever growing, broad membership – including Lounge Pass and Lounge Key and representing an impressive number of credit cards, banks and other financial institutions – as well as other DFW travelers through the purchase of day passes. The 2,528 square foot Club DFW is divided into five distinct zones that allow guests to relax and recharge in their own individual way and serve the needs of diverse travelers. These spaces include:

  • A Privacy Zone, where guests can conduct private conference calls or Skype friends or family in the privacy room or in one of ALD’s privacy chairs. “Cocoon” chairs will be provided for those who want to enjoy a quiet phone call or be left alone to read their own materials or complimentary periodicals provided by the Club DFW.
  • A Replenish Zone that features comfortable seating and locally inspired selections from a chef-driven menu that includes a hot and cold buffet and a variety of all-day snack items. A fully stocked, expertly tended bar will offer complimentary cocktails featuring premium spirits.
  • A Productivity Zone that features a desk-height counter with electrical outlets, as well as ergonomic task chairs for business travelers in need of a workspace. Guests in this Zone can take advantage of its available computer and printer or use their own computers by connecting to abundant electrical outlets.
  • A Relax Zone with ultra-comfortable seating that enables guests to catch up on the news or socialize with fellow travelers.
  • A Refresh Zone that includes a well-appointed restroom, private shower facility and spa-quality soaps and lotions to pamper weary travelers and help them feel at home.

The Club DFW features the inspired designs of local architect, Greg Ibanez, a recipient of twenty-seven AIA Design Awards, and professional photographs by Dallas locals Jeff Auvenshine and Holland Gross. In addition, ALD’s new beverage program enables guests to experience artfully crafted cocktails and a local beers list developed by ALD’s exclusive lounge partner Kathy Casey, a celebrated chef-mixologist, pioneer in the bar-chef movement and one of the top 10 most influential bar people of the past 25 years, according to Cheers Magazine. Travelers looking for a non-alcoholic option will enjoy The Club’s “Hydration Station,” which offers refreshing, healthful fruit- and herb-infused waters, such as lemon pineapple cayenne, strawberry basil or lemon watermelon.

ALD not only enhances its guests’ culinary experience, but also actively engages in a “give back” program that supports local and global community charitable organizations. The Club coffee and tea program contributes 5-10 cents per pound purchased to the Sodexo Foundation, a nonprofit organization helping some of the 36 million people at risk of hunger in the United States. The “Pinot with a Purpose – Chardonnay for a Cause” wine program benefits organizations that range from educating women on the risks and symptoms of ovarian cancer to providing meals to children in need. The Club DFW also gives back to the environment with a 100% plastic-less bar through the removal of all plastic drink stirrers and straws, replacing them with natural bamboo and compostable products.

DFW values our longstanding partnership with ALD to offer travelers world-class amenities to enjoy during their time at the Airport with the options they need and want,” said Ken Buchanan, Executive Vice President of Revenue Management at DFW Airport. “Priority Pass members will be excited to have a dedicated space to rest, relax or connect before their flight.”

The Club DFW is open daily from 4:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and serves all Skylink passengers who have cleared TSA access in any terminal. Guests looking for a reprieve from the airport crowds can visit by purchasing a day pass online or at the lounge for $40. The Club DFW also welcomes members of Priority Pass, LoungeKey, Lounge Club, Diners Club International and AAA Members Discount Program.
