MADISON, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Redox today announced that it has launched “Redox Gives,” a charitable program aimed at serving healthcare non-profits and public health organizations that help at-risk portions of the population gain access to quality health services at little or no cost. Qualifying non-profit organizations or social enterprises will receive access to Redox’s cloud-based interoperability platform to enable effective collaboration with local provider organizations via mission critical healthcare applications and services.
The Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation (WWHF) is the first member organization to receive interoperability services via “Redox Gives.” WWHF is a non-profit organization that provides free women’s health education and support programs for women and their families throughout Wisconsin and administers funds for women’s health research initiatives.
One of WWHF's many initiatives is "First Breath"– a free, statewide program that helps pregnant women, new moms, and their families quit smoking. The program trains healthcare staff to "Ask, Advise, and Refer" smokers to the WWHF where "Quit Coaches" provide smoking cessation counseling. The WWHF will use Redox integration to streamline the way providers refer patients to the program driving increased usage and eliminating unnecessary clerical work.
“We are so excited to be part of the ‘Redox Gives’ program,” said Lisette Khalil, WWHF operations director. “Redox is creating new capacity for our organization, allowing us to receive e-referrals directly from patients’ electronic medical records. This level of efficiency is exactly what our program needs to move forward and serve more families. We also believe that Redox will help us expand our footprint by connecting us to other key health provider networks throughout the state.”
“We started Redox to help change the healthcare system, improve patient access, and increase the quality of care by eliminating rampant data integration challenges,” said Niko Skievaski, president and co-founder of Redox.
“Helping resource-constrained organizations that are battling key public health challenges is a natural part of our mission, and we are pleased to partner with WWHF on our first ‘Redox Gives’ implementation. We look forward to helping them deploy and assisting other organizations in our local community and throughout the country.”
