NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gemini Trust Company, LLC (Gemini), a New York trust company that is a licensed digital asset exchange and custodian, announced today that Sydney Schaub has joined as General Counsel. Ms. Schaub will focus on tackling new jurisdiction expansion, new product initiatives and building Gemini's in-house legal team. Ms. Schaub will begin with Gemini next month, reporting directly to the President, Cameron Winklevoss.
Ms. Schaub most recently served as General Counsel for Rent the Runway, Inc. (RTR). Prior to RTR, Ms. Schaub spent more than five years as Associate General Counsel at Square, Inc., where she led the legal team that managed Square’s initial public offering, advised on new jurisdiction expansion and oversaw mergers and acquisitions. In addition to Ms. Schaub, Gemini recently hired CTO Rob Cornish of NYSE who assumes oversight of the entire technology team and recent deployment of Nasdaq’s SMARTS Market Surveillance technology, enabling Gemini to monitor across all of its order books as well as Gemini Auctions™, which are used to determine the settlement price for the Bitcoin (USD) Futures Contracts that trade on Cboe Futures Exchange, LLC under the ticker symbol “XBT” (contract specifications | fact sheet)
