PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Science Exchange, the leading marketplace for outsourced R&D, announced today that Ron Fischer has joined the company’s management team as VP of Engineering.
Ron has extensive experience in managing highly effective engineering teams in Silicon Valley. He has deep familiarity with software development processes, particularly in variations of Agile practices. In his new role, he will be leading Science Exchange’s engineering teams based in Palo Alto and Belgrade as they develop the leading platform for scientific research.
Prior to joining Science Exchange Ron was head of engineering at AppDirect, where his leadership skills helped increase the global developer and quality assurance teams from 60 to 250 engineers in San Francisco, Montreal, Buenos Aires, Munich, and Pune. Previously, Ron directed the Content Division at Salesforce, where his teams developed the content management systems integral to the Salesforce product.
His management experience is backed up with significant technical expertise gained at both startups and more established technology companies. For more than a decade he has held Architect and Management roles in leading SAAS and PAAS organizations, on the cutting edge of Cloud Computing. He holds more than 10 software patents, and frequently blogs about software engineering, management, and leadership on his blog site.
