SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Biocom, the association representing the California life science industry, today announced the formation of a San Francisco Bay Area advisory board, as well as the grand opening of its Bay Area office. The new advisory board members and the Bay Area office staff will help to service Biocom’s 275 members in the area, a number that is steadily increasing.
“With our proven track record of building and expanding the life sciences throughout California, coupled with our deep partnering and workforce development experience, we are uniquely qualified in uniting and connecting the many clusters of the Bay Area,” said Joe Panetta, president and CEO of Biocom. “Our new advisory board and our physical office space will aid in servicing all of our member companies spanning the micro-clusters, which ultimately services the life sciences throughout the state of California.”
The Bay Area advisory board will help to create and guide a thriving, connected ecosystem throughout the region. The advisory board members are not only representative of the many branches of the life sciences, but also of the five micro-clusters throughout the region. The advisory board reflects the diversity, needs and industries of the entire Bay Area bionetwork. The members include:
