HOKKAIDO, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Explorer Inc. (hereinafter "Explorer": Head Office: Hakodate-shi, Hokkaido, Japan; President: Naohide Yabuki), which provides codec products centering on video technology, has successfully realized secure and stable 4K video IP transmission by incorporating the SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol, a highly secure technology that enables stable transport even when networks are unpredictable, into our self-developed 4K-supported H.265/HEVC Codec System to solve IP transport network issues.
Explorer will set up a booth at the “IBC 2018,” Europe's largest broadcasting equipment show, and perform a demonstration using 4K-supported H.265/HEVC Codec System with the SRT protocol.
The SRT protocol is an open-source video transport technology developed
by Haivision in Canada which enables secure streaming and smooth
firewall traversal. It optimizes streaming performance across
unpredictable networks and provides live video streaming of the highest
quality. The SRT Alliance was founded in May 2017 to undertake
promotional activities.
Explorer set up a booth at the NAB Show in
April 2018 and plans to do the same at the IBC following our first
participation last year to accelerate the development of overseas
markets. At this year’s show, we will perform a demonstration of
strengthened transport capability using 4K-supported H.265/HEVC Codec
System with the SRT protocol and also exhibit our small Multi Channel
Video Generator with 12G SDI interface to enhance brand awareness and
strengthen the development of overseas markets.
