Mark and Helena Ralph named ServiceMaster Franchisee of the Year at IFA Franchise Action Network Meeting in Washington

MEMPHIS, Tenn.--()--Mark and Helena Ralph, owners of ServiceMaster Absolute Water and Fire Damage Services in Chula Vista, Calif., were recognized as the ServiceMaster Restore Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association (IFA), during the organization’s annual Franchise Action Network meeting in Washington, D.C. The IFA, which represents franchising worldwide, each year acknowledges the best owner-operators of IFA-member company franchises.

The franchise was also honored in July with the Marion E. Wade Expert Award for Disaster Restoration Mitigation at the company’s annual international convention in Anaheim. This award, which is named for the company’s founder, is the highest ServiceMaster honor a franchisee can receive.

Mark Ralph began his career in disaster restoration in his hometown of Redditch, Worchestershire, England. After moving to the U.S., he joined a local ServiceMaster Restore franchise in 2004, and was quickly promoted to operations manager. Eight years later, in 2012, Mark and his wife, Helena, purchased that franchise. Today, they employ almost 70 people and run the business from a facility that they own.

“Mark and Helena are a huge presence for residential and commercial disaster restoration services in our California market and beyond,” said Wegner. “They did an incredible job as one of the franchises that helped to restore homes and businesses after Hurricane Harvey in Texas and the northern California wildfires last year.”
