DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cox Oil Offshore, L.L.C. (Cox) a privately owned, independent oil and gas company, today announced the appointment of Vincent DeVito, former U.S. Department of Interior senior executive, to serve as Executive Vice President and General Counsel, effective September 4, 2018.
Mr. DeVito is a corporate and regulatory attorney and brings extensive experience representing public and private energy corporations. At the U.S. Department of Interior, Mr. DeVito was Energy Counselor to the Secretary of the Interior, Ryan Zinke.
In 2017, when announcing the President's appointment of Mr. DeVito, Secretary Zinke identified Mr. DeVito as "the best of the best in the private sector." Recently, Mr. Zinke added, "Vincent was one of my principle advisers for many Interior energy issues and he helped set the course for energy dominance in the first term of this administration."
Mr. DeVito has also held several senior leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Energy and within state energy offices. Before joining the Interior, Mr. DeVito was a Capital Partner with an international law practice.
