Best”) raised its Financial Strength Rating for National Interstate Insurance Company and its three insurance subsidiaries, Vanliner Insurance Company, National Interstate Insurance Company of Hawaii, Inc. and Triumphe Casualty Company (collectively referred to as “National Interstate”) to A+ (Superior) from A (Excellent). At the same time, A.M. Best also upgraded the Long-Term Issuer Credit Ratings to “aa-” from “a+” of National Interstate. The outlook of these ratings is stable. The rating upgrades reflect National Interstate’s strong operating performance and balance sheet strength, and enhanced integration and shared resources now that National Interstate is a fully owned member of the Great American Insurance Group (“Great American”).
