As a person living with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and an active member of CreakyJoints, Michael inspires the arthritis community when he translates his experiences into innovative, bright, and arthritis-friendly clothing. This year’s fashion-forward collection is street inspired with a “downtown” feel that features collaborations with street artists who put their personal touch on individual garments.
In partnership with PAOM, a main focus of the entire collection —from day wear to athletic wear to dress clothing— is the inclusion of magnetic closures, which are designed to be on trend yet accessible. Getting dressed can be challenging for many arthritis patients, who may experience pain and limitations when it comes to buttoning or hooking their clothes.

The Tumbler and Tipsy by Michael Kuluva runway show will take place at 3 p.m. on September 11, 2018 at STYLE360 at 639 W. 46th Street, New York, NY 10036. This year, Mirai Nagasu, U.S. National Figure Skating Champion and 2018 Olympic Bronze Medalist, will walk the runway along with the iconic model Amanda Lepore, returning for her second appearance. In addition, CreakyJoints Patient Council member and ankylosing spondylitis advocate Charis Hill will be featured modeling Michael’s collection.
