MADISON, Wis.--()--Avid Ratings, North America’s industry leader for measuring home quality and creating exceptional customer experiences, announced today the addition of two new senior-level executives to its corporate team: Aaron Everson as President and Brian Nelson as Chief Technology Officer. For over a quarter of a century, Avid has helped thousands of companies measure and improve customer loyalty while connecting leading companies with consumers through Avid’s “100% Verified Ratings.” Hiring top-tier industry professionals reinforces Avid Ratings’ commitment to enabling more companies to harness the power of authentic positive reviews in order to increase sales velocity and grow market share. Based in the Madison, Wisconsin headquarters, Everson will oversee general operations with each functional area of the business, and Nelson will manage and build the product development efforts, including design, product management, and development.

Newly named company President Aaron Everson has made a career of starting and growing companies with his extensive experience in sales, marketing, finance, operations, product development, and strategy. He most recently served as the EVP of Strategy for social media strategy company Spredfast after the acquisition of Shoutlet, a company he co-founded. Prior to Shoutlet, Everson spent nearly two years in business development and strategy at Microsoft Corp., which he joined through the acquisition of Jellyfish.com, a company he also co-founded. He’s taken companies from inception to managing teams of nearly 200, and generated ~$100m in shareholder value through M&A. Everson has also been active in the Madison community through mentoring startups and sitting on the board of an online rental marketplace company called Abodo.

Brian Nelson, Avid’s new Chief Technology Officer, has over 20 years of software development and product management experience with a keen understanding of what is required for intelligent and speedy business growth. Prior to joining Avid Ratings, Nelson was VP of Product Development for Shoutlet, which was later acquired by Spredfast. In both roles, Nelson grew and managed teams of 50+ across all aspects of product development. Prior to Shoutlet, he served as Director of Product Management and Engineering at Angie’s List and played a critical role in taking the business from 125 employees to over 1300.

“We are pleased to welcome both Aaron and Brian, two highly experienced and capable executives, to our leadership team,” said Avid Ratings Founder, Paul Cardis. “Aaron and Brian bring with them an unprecedented background in strategy and operations.
