NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--David Moradi, Founder and CEO of Sero Capital, LLC, today announced the formation of the David Moradi Foundation, a charitable foundation whose mission is to enable others to overcome barriers in their lives and pursue their dreams. The David Moradi Foundation will initially fund programs that focus on the underserved and underprivileged members of our community.
The Foundation’s two focus areas, established as funding priorities for strategic grant making, include Education and support for Military Veterans.
EDUCATION
Learning should be accessible to children of all ages, from all backgrounds, races, and religions. The David Moradi Foundation is proud to offer grants and financial awards to qualified organizations whose central mission is to enhance the lives of underprivileged youth by enabling them to attend schools and educational programs that will put them on a path success.
MILITARY VETERANS
U.S. military servicemen and women often return home to social and financial challenges that prevent them from leading fulfilling lives. We want to commemorate the sacrifices made by these heroes by supporting them upon their return and making the transition back to civilian life as painless as possible. To this end, the David Moradi Foundation partners with organizations dedicated to providing veterans and their families with the recognition, support and opportunities they have rightfully earned.
To mark its inception, the David Moradi Foundation is making two financial commitments each in the amount of $100,000: One the Association to Benefit Children and another to the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund.
David Moradi, Chairman of the David Moradi Foundation, commented, “My success in the financial industry has allowed me to form this Foundation to support causes that are near and dear to my heart. The Association to Benefit Children and the Johnny Mac Soldier’s Fund are two organizations that truly embody the central mission of the Foundation. By funding educational opportunities to underprivileged, underserved children, as well as providing financial assistance to our nation’s veterans, we feel we can influence not just the lives of these individual groups, but the broader community as a whole for generations to come.
Moradi added, “We are launching this Foundation with an initial expectation of $10 million, expanding our mission to include other initiatives where we feel we can make a meaningful difference.”
Gretchen Buchenholz, Founder and Executive Director of the Association to Benefit Children said, “We are beyond thrilled to be a recipient of this inaugural gift from the David Moradi Foundation. The Foundation’s incredibly generous grant will enable us to bolster and expand our early childhood programs that currently provide at-risk infants, toddlers and preschoolers with the highest quality early education. This type of funding is crucial as we work toward establishing programs that form the groundwork for life skills such as patience, tenderness, civility and fortitude, as well as imparting confidence and competence for future success.”
MaryEllen Picciuto, President of the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund said, “We are so grateful for this thoughtful and generous donation from the David Moradi Foundation. This commitment will immediately impact military families and will help us continue our mission to honor military service and sacrifice by providing college scholarships to children of our nation’s fallen. The Foundation's generous funding will help 20 military children to pursue the college education of their dreams."
